BackFor Scott Bell of St. George, Utah, success is defined by living life to the fullest and being part of making others smile. Having worked in the mortgage industry for 11 years, Scott says the smile he enjoys most is that of a new homeowner who receive the keys to a new home for the first time.
A former baker from northern Utah, Scott is a graduate of Washington High School in Ogden. And though he loved his job at Smith/Kroger Wheelhouse, he says deciding to go into real estate was the best decision he ever made. For months, Scott worked mornings to build his reputation and business while spending afternoons and evenings working at the bakery.
Working many 16-hour days, Scott says he often did not return home before midnight, but he knew it would be worth the sacrifice. Today, living and working in real estate in southern Utah, Scott says he has never been happier.
“It is such an honor to be able to be part of making dreams come true,” he says.
A licensed Principal Lending Manager (PLM), Scott works as a mortgage loan expert at Fidelity Mortgage. He says he can finally say he is working at his dream job, and that he loves the variety and excitement of each new day. “Truly,” he says, “it was worth every sacrifice I made to get to this point in my career.”
Prior to working at Fidelity Mortgage, Scott worked for Bay Equity Home Loans, Veritus Funding, Graystone Mortgage, Home Loan Xperts and Amera Mortgage.
“One thing I’ve learned is that most people don’t think they can get into a home when they start shopping.” He says. “Being able to teach them and guide them through the process is very rewarding.”
According to Scott, “There is nothing like the look on a buyers face after we have closed on their new home and the funding has been approved.”
When not at work, Scott enjoys spending time outdoors. Some of his favorite activities include golfing, hiking, camping and scuba diving.
He is licensed in UT, NV, AZ, ID, CA and TX.
